The African COVID-19 Collaboration carried out by FUM, FWCC, and Friends Church Kenya sought to honor a number of former Quaker leaders. Several of these folks were in their 80s and 90s. They are homebound and potentially especially susceptible to the spread of the virus.Leaders of the Collaborative presented these wazee with a large care package that included food like rice, shelf-stable milk packets, sugar, tea, drinking chocolate, cooking oil, uji porridge, baking flour, green grams (mung beans). Additionally, they received thirty disposable facemasks, 500ml of hand sanitizer, a duvet quilt, and a sturdy container for it all.

The Lindi Friends School in Nairobi's Kibera slum is undertaking significant renovations during the Hiatus imposed by COVID-19 schooling restrictions. These upgrades include major renovation projects that were long overdue. Improvements include plastered walls and replacing the dirt floors in ground floor classrooms with concrete. The primary staircase has been widened, walls painted, signs made, as well as broken doors and windows replaced. The latrines will be rebuilt, and a leaky roof repaired.

When we do his will, he uses us to impact others. God made all things. He made us in his image, and he commands us to love him with all pour heart and with all our soul and with all our strength and to love our neighbour as ourselves. God is love and we cannot love others without first loving him. In choosing to let him abide in us, that is living by his word, we choose to serve h only and not to turn to other hodd--Deut 6.
