After a last-minute donation of $2.97, we can announce that the 2018 Summer Mission Project raised $16,000.01... over sixteen grand! The Communications Department, which organizes the Summer Mission Project each year, thanks all Friends for their support. FUM staff Ben Snyder, North American Ministries Coordinator and leader of the most recent Living Letters visit to Cuba, says:
We were truly blessed to see the work progressing at Puerto Padre, Cuba! With the generosity and faithfulness of Friends who have supported this ongoing ministry, Cuba Yearly Meeting and its partners around the globe have been able to “Rebuild a Friendly Place” at the Colegio Wilmington (Wilmington School). There is a lot of excitement to see what God is doing among the Cuban people and what God will continue to do as the ministry moves forward. We are thankful for each Friend who donated, each Friend who has spread the word about the work in Cuba, each Friend who has been part of a fundraiser, and each Friend who has held this effort in prayer before Christ!
