Kenyan Friends appoint national leaders

Friends United Meeting congratulates the newly-appointed leadership of Friends Church  Kenya (FCK), the national umbrella organization for the 20 yearly meetings in  that country. At the Triennial conference held 13-17 April, 2016, on the  campus of Booker Academy in Mumias, the delegates approved:

Henry  Mukwanja, Presiding Clerk (from East Africa Yearly Meeting – North)

Monicah  Dalitsu, Vice Presiding Clerk (from Bware Yearly Meeting)

Eliud  Sikolia, Recording Clerk (from Tongaren Yearly Meeting)

Edgar  Ala, Reading Clerk (from Nairobi Yearly Meeting)

By  coincidence, all four of these new officers are also members of the FUM  General Board. Although FUM is an international body and FCK is a national body, within the country of Kenya the two organizations work closely together  and see each other as mutually enriching. The prayers of Friends around the  world stand with the new leaders of FCK as they undertake their work.
