On Friday evening January 11th, the Witness and Service Committee of West Richmond Meeting hosted a gathering for all three Richmond-area meetings. Twenty-one Friends gathered at Louise Beede's home to enjoy Belizean snacks and to hear Nikki share about how God has called her and her family to Belize. Nikki's presentation included the story of how she became a Friend, when she and her husband searched the internet for "a church that loves Jesus and that allows women to preach."
Nikki's schedule of visits in Wilmington Yearly Meeting last weekend was canceled due to snow, but she is very much looking forward to speaking in Western Yearly Meeting this coming weekend. She and her family will be traveling among Friends this spring. Contact the FUM office if you want to schedule them to speak at your meeting/church.
