Friends United Meeting has been blessed to have Sussie Ndanyi as a dedicated member of our Richmond staff as she pursued her studies at Earlham School of Religion.Sussie has served in various capacities, including serving as an administrative assistant, overseeing preparations for Stoking the Fire, and providing staff support for the African Friends in North America Committee.
One of Sussie’s most significant contributions to Friends United Meeting has been her role as the lead planner for the 2023 Triennial Gathering in Kenya. The Triennial is a crucial opportunity for Quakers from around the world to come together, share experiences, and strengthen their commitment to the faith. Sussie’s leadership and organizational skills were instrumental in ensuring the success of this important gathering.Throughout her time with FUM, Sussie has brought joy and a willingness to serve in whatever way she can be helpful. Her positive attitude and dedication have been an inspiration to all who have had the privilege of working with her.Sussie recently graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree from Earlham School of Religion, marking a significant milestone in her personal and professional journey. As she prepares to return to Kenya, we are grateful for her service and pray God’s blessings on all her future endeavors.
