Staff Transitions at FUM

As we prepare for a New Year, Friends United Meeting will be adjusting to several staffing transitions. We are sad to report that Colin Saxton has submitted his resignation. (Read more here.) Colin returned to Friends United Meeting to serve as FUM’s Director of North American Ministries, with responsibilities of advancement and overseeing ministry priorities among North American Friends. In addition, he continued to do part-time work for Everence Financial Services.

For the next few months, ending no later than June 30, Colin will continue to serve twenty hours per week, focusing on several FUM advancement priorities. FUM is grateful for Colin’s work in coordinating North American Ministry initiatives, including leading the Stoking the Fire Retreats and Book Studies, initiating the Flourishing Friends and Unleashing the Power Programs, and coordinating the African Friends in North America Committee. Until a permanent staffing solution is found, please direct questions and concerns about these North American Programs to Karla Jay, FUM’s Global Ministries Coordinator. She will direct these matters to the staff or board members assigned to respond to these areas of our ministry. In the coming weeks, FUM General Secretary Kelly Kellum will announce a search for personnel to develop these areas of ministry.

In addition, we are pleased to announce that Katrina McConaughey is returning to the FUM team. In January, she joins FUM’s communications department as a part-time copy editor. She is a skilled communicator and has a deep understanding of FUM’s voice in both Africa and North America. Her primary work will be to assist in editing FUM’s enews and field staff newsletters.
