Friends from the Lindi School, Nairobi Yearly Meeting, and Friends United Meeting are making plans for returning the Lindi School to functioning. The immediate plan is to have students resume classes on Monday. Two classes will be held in temporary structures on site, several classes will relocate to the Kibria Friends Church, and the students who are preparing to take the national examination will be integrated with the Friends School Ngong Road. A long-term plan is being developed for reconstruction. Given that the fire destroyed all books, school supplies, kitchen equipment, and furnishings, FUM has released $9000 from the Solidarity Fund to provide an immediate response. One church member was sick in a church where, the pastor, the leaders and the members were known not to offer visitations to each other and their members. But on this occasion one evangelist on hearing about it decided to pay him a short visit and pray together. Looking at his gate, the sick member was surprised to see this evangelist come to his house and wondered how? Because he was not such critical.
